On a rainy Friday night, Carver played host to 5A area opponent Corner in a game for the ages.  Carver which came in as an underdog, played to their ability and matched Corner physically in all areas of the game.  Carver had a huge goal line stand at the end of the half to stop Corner from gaining any momentum.  Joshua Rice led all rushers with over 150 yards and 3 touchdowns, while Justin Perdue upped his total to 8 for the season with a  receiving touchdown in the 3rd quarter.  Defensively, Taddarius Patterson led all defense players with 6 sacks on the night.  The Carver rams will travel to Pleasant Grove in another 5A area match-up this Friday with huge playoff implications on the line.
