Two 100-yard rushers powered Wenonah’s offense, and Alabama commit Quinnen Williams led the defense.
The result was an 18-6 victory over Carver-Birmingham on Friday night, keeping the Dragons (6-0) undefeated this season.
Aubrey Robinson ran 10 times for 151 yards and a 24-yard touchdown, and Tyler Thornton added 118 yards and a 16-yard touchdown on 18 carries. Robinson also threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to Will Moore.
“It’ feels great to be undefeated,” Robinson said. “We have to stay focused and not get the big head.”
Williams had 12 tackles, with seven tackles for loss, and his brother, Giovanni Williams, added nine tackles.
“Carver is a good team,” Wenonah coach Ronald Cheatham said. “That’s not the same old Carver. We did what we had to do to win the game.”
