Carver-Birmingham 54, Midfield 34: Rams’ big second half too much for Midfield

Paris Parker scored 20 points, and Kylie Roscoe had 10 points and 12 assists as Carver-Birmingham defeated Midfield 54-34 at the BallN’ PowHer Invitational, hosted by Faulkner University in Montgomery. The Rams (12-8) led 17-16 at the half but outscored Midfield 37-18 in the second half. Parker also had six assists and five steals. Kierra Hicks led Midfield with 10 points.

Huffman 77, Carver-Birmingham 57: Fast-starting Vikings roll on the road

Timothy Dees scored 22 points and Huffmantook a commanding 47-25 halftime lead en route to a 77-57 victory at Carver-Birmingham. Myreon Jones added 13 points and five assists for the Vikings (8-12). Latarus Carrollcontributed 12 points and six rebounds and Decorian Ayers had eight points and eight rebounds. Tyler Grady had 13 points and Jonathan Woods 11 for the Rams.  

Carver-Birmingham 66, Fairfield 55: Rams bury Tigers from 3-point line

KaNeisha Rivers sank four 3-point baskets as Carver-Birmingham went 6-for-10 from behind the arc in a 66-55 home victory against Fairfield. The Rams (8-6) outscored Fairfield 20-5 in the second quarter, aided in large part by 12 Tigers turnovers during the period. Lady Rams Basketball Dominates in Tennessee!

The Carver Lady Rams had a great showing going 2-0 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee for the Tennessee Turkey Jam during the Thanksgiving Holiday.  Kylie Roscoe played well and was nominated as one of the best young guards in the tournament.

Carver-Birmingham 66, Dora 30: Rams romp behind Jones, Dunklin

Journey Jones and Charnita Dunklin scored 13 points each to lead Carver-Birmingham to a 66-30 victory at Dora in a Class 5A, Area 10 game. Jones also had six rebounds and six assists and Dunklin had eight rebounds. Jada Swinnie added 10 points and eight rebounds. Carver opened a 31-17 halftime lead and cruised from there. Volleyball team places 3rd in the BCS Tournament

Over the weekend, our Lady Rams volleyball team competed in the Birmingham City Schools Volleyball Tournament.  Coach “Doc” Gooden stated that he was very pleased with the effort and thought that it was a great learning experience especially for the Area tournament.  Carver will face Centerpoint on the road today and is looking to continue

Fan Bus for Pleasant Grove Football Game

Come support Carver High School as they take on Pleasant Grove on September 19, 2014 @ 7 P.M. at Pleasant Grove High School.  We will be taking fan buses over to Pleasant Grove and the cost will only be $5.00!  Please come out and cheer on your rams as they look to start 3-1.
